I'd previously been using a third party email marketing service, and sending bi-weekly. This has not proved to be the most effective for you as customers in receiving timely sale announcements (in particular the Saturday 40% off flash sales), and it's not had a good return in time/investment for me.
I've chosen to go with Shopify's email marketing service, because it's directly tied to your customer account, and the native store application. Their system allows me to easily create simple and succinct email announcements directly from my store admin, without having to go to a different site and upload graphics, links and text (all of which can lead to programmer error, as we saw two weeks ago with the spring color trends sale email).
To sign up, simply enter your email address in the email join box found at the bottom of this page, or in the site footer. If you're already subscribed, you won't be duplicated if you enter your email into the join box again. If you aren't subscribed, you'll see a "Thanks for joining" message.
I estimate that I'll be sending 1-2 short email updates per week. One of these will be the 40% OFF Saturday flash sale, which is announced Friday evenings into Saturday morning, and runs until Noon EST on Sunday.
I promise that I won't spam you. I won't be emailing you daily, or even every other day. Firstly, that's not my personality and second- I don't have time to do so, as so much of my day is dedicated to formulation, packaging and order fulfillment already.
I sincerely hope that you'll join me to receive emailed updates, because social media has become increasingly difficult to break through algorithms, or obtain post/video views to customers. I've been doing Facebook/Instagram paid advertising for a while, but seen little to no return on investment for it. In short, this is a time of rapid change in social media for small businesses and sometimes it's the simple, old school ways of reaching you that can be the best!
