This measures customers who come back again and again to order. Unhappy customers don't return, it's as simple as that. All small businesses know that an unhappy customer will take to social media and tell many people about their experience, but happy customers? They are the quiet majority. They sometimes post online, but it's rare. Their loyalty is measured perfectly through site analytics that measure their return purchase rate.

 

The industry average for cosmetics website return customer rate is between 20 and 30%. This means that out of 100 customers? 20-30 return to purchase. This means that out of 100 customers, 75 are repeat customers that shop again and again. Running a report that shows the return customer rates is truly heartwarming for me to see, because it shows me real, tangible data of how working hard for so many years to provide quality products and customer service earns customers that return again and again to purchase from you.
