This labor day weekend is the perfect time to share a reminder that Aromaleigh is a small, woman owned American business. I'm an artisan-crafter, creating an impressive range of mineral cosmetic products from start to finish, in-house. I not only come up with the ideas for my product lines, I formulate them, conceptualize them and bring them to life. I jar, package and label every single item that I then pack up to ship to you.

The tariffs and realization that many countries have stalled shipping to the USA at this time makes the world feel a good bit smaller. But when it comes to affordable, beautiful, functional and unique high quality cosmetics, I'm here and I've been here since 1998. I don't rely on overseas manufacturing.

My company is unique in that I've been a handcrafting indie since 1998 and I have not changed the core values which have allowed my business to weather more storms than I can count, over almost three decades of business.

I offer affordable samples of all loose powder products, as well as my glosses. I encourage sample purchasing, and only buying what you might need. I don't celebrate or encourage over-consumerism, and I don't utilize social media influencers that glorify it.

When the first rumblings of the tariffs started up, I thought ahead and took out a small business loan to stock up on ingredients and packaging components. This is why you haven't seen me post a message letting you all know I'm increasing my prices due to tariffs, as has become an almost daily reality in the beauty sector.

I won't raise prices until I absolutely have to, and right now I don't have to. Because I'm a handcrafter that relies on bulk purchased ingredients to create your products, rather than relying on overseas factories to make them, I have ample non-tariffed ingredient inventory. Things I *have* needed to purchase here and there have increased in price drastically, but I am dedicated to not raising prices until it's absolutely necessary.

When I do have to increase prices, it won't be across the board. It will be on specific products or product types. And it will be as modest as possible to cover my increased costs while keeping in mind that just as much as I'm struggling in this economy, you are too. I want to work with you and keep you able to find joy and experimentation in my cosmetics!

Thank you for your support, and please do let your friends and family who are seeking affordable, USA-made beauty products know about Aromaleigh! I really appreciate it!
